I go halfway across the country for school, and obviously transporting my 19" CRT and my tower is a little bit of a logistical problem. This summer I plan on buying a 19" LCD and a SFF (I'm not very fond of laptops, especially if I have to buy it).

I'm a bit out of the loop on SFF and what's around the corner, so I ask you all.

What's coming up in the next couple of months for this market? This is what I'd LIKE in my SFF.

Onboard:

Socket 478 (can reuse my 2.6C)
AGP 8X (can reuse my 9800 PRO)
SATA
4x Back Panel USB
Gigabit Ethernet
24bit audio (DTS the whole nine yards, can sell my audigy 2 and make some money towards it)

Is it likely to see this in a nice package for <$400 this summer?

How about build your own?

I've seen MicroATX motherboards built around the i865 chipset with stuff like SATA, GbLAN, etc. on-board. Grab one of those (usually don't cost more than $100), then throw all those components into a nice, light aluminum MicroATX or slimline case, like a Silverstone LC04. And voila, you got your light computer and LCD that are easy to move about the country with.
