sff and sata2?

which model? i've checked the latest intel and amd platforms, i know for a fact the amd one doesn't support it, and i'm almost sure the intel doesnt either.

actually the version they use doesn't incorporate SATA II. :/

"Shuttle uses the nForce4 "Standard" chipset instead of the Ultra or SLI in the current model. To be honest, the differences between the Standard version and the Ultra version are very slight. NVIDIA lists some minor difference in the networking support, and the Ultra includes SATA-II hard drive support. SATA-II shouldn't dramatically alter HDD speed in most applications, as we're typically bound by the sustained transfer rate."

Isn't SATA-II kinda like AGP-8x... no practical value? What would you be doing that would make a difference?

The Shuttle SN25P now uses the nforce4 ultra chipset. The earlier
models used the vanilla version then for some reason Shuttle
just shifted to the ultra. The Shuttle website has also updated the
product description to mention the ultra chipse.t

hmmm... interesting. i wonder if they've upped the price as well. as for why it makes a difference. i upgrade every 3-4 years. i figure i might as well get the latest while i'm at it.

i just looked at the specs. i guess i'm certain on a purchase of the SN25P.
