There were a bunch of deals in today's paper that weren't there yesterday. But first and foremost, today there were hot dogs. Lots and lots and lots of them. The line look imtimidating but it moved quickly. Those high school kids know how to get you in and out. And that's the point. These hot dog events are fund raisers for the local high school. Fry's donates the food and the kids pocket the quarter. So support your local high school and get a dog or 3 at Fry's.
Now, onto the deals. ECS/2200+ MB CPU combo for $99. They are selling 512MB "PC3200" RAM for $49.99. This is the same crap they were selling for $69.99 with a $25 rebate a couple of weeks back. So if you bought it a couple of weeks back, go back for a price adjustment and get it for $25 AR. Not bad for PC2700 RAM. Notice that I said PC2700. It's really just PC2700 RAM, it has 6 ns chips on it. It took a lot of doing today, but I finally got someone at Fry's to admit it was just PC2700 RAM being overclocked to PC3200. They told me that if I wanted real PC3200 to buy the Corsair. There were a couple of other decent advertised deals today, but I can't remember them.
I did see a couple of things not advertised in the store. They're selling 6V lanterns for $1.90 and DLink USB/MP3 radios for $9.80, they were originally $39.90.
