Sexy board won't put out (and I paid for dinner...)

I've got an Asus A7N266-VM/AA motherboard, and I built a pc with it. On the first boot up, it goes right to the bios with a message:

"The system case or cover has been removed. Please check the system."

Now, I can't find any kind of "chassis intrusion" type jumpers on the board, nor can I find any type of setting in the bios to disable this function. Every time I restart the computer, It goes to this message.

What to do?

Should be a jumper cap just above the front panel pins.
4 pin block with the second pin missing. Cap belongs on pins 3+4.
(Best I can remember)...😉

When all else fails, try the mobo manual.....
If you don't have one, should be able to get it off Asus site......

Good Luck........

Now where's mech when you need him? I'll attempt to stand in. 😀

Turn to page 22 to see the proper procedure for clearing the cmos. It requires you to unplug the computer AND remove the battery. Then after reinstalling and plugging back in, you have to hold the delete key during the boot process.

The jumper is next to the ide connectors. 🙂 HTH
