EDIT: Some Franklin Street, Chapel Hill pics
(From what I hear, if you are a leg man, you would have been in heaven. Check out the link above for Halloween 37 and 38)
Wow. I went to the Halloween Station store at the Mall to help a friend pick something up for a party this past weekend. Yeah, I prefer people making up their own costume than store bought but then again, I'd rather have them dress up than wearing that stupid "Boo!" t-shirt. Please, people, a little effort here?
Anyway...I was a little astounded when I looked at the selection of costumes for women. Basically, every costume was a variation of "Sexy [Insert occupation here]." Sexy nurse, sexy pirate, sexy UPS delivery girl, sexy Mrs. Claus, etc. Yikes, they even made Velma sexy! I bet there is even a costume that tries to make a female Charlie Brown sexy.
Yes...It is great to see a sexy Dorothy now and again and always a well dressed (or undressed) Catholic school girl. But I've come to realize in my ancient age that I appreciate the hint of undress and mystery in a costume now. Plus, I've found that girl who spends time coming up with something creative to wear is the kind of girl to be creative elsewhere. (Let's just leave that remark as just that.)
So to guys and girls, what have you been seeing out at the parties? I wonder what folks will be wearing on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill this year. Lately it has been unseasonably warm at nights but this Wednesday it is supposed to get down to 50.
(PS - My costume this year is actually two: Sauron and the Flying Spaghetti Monster.)

(PPS - I know, this thread is worthless without pics. But hang on, Halloween isn't until Wednesday. I'll post 'em when I get them.)
