Sexual harrassment at work...

Do different companies have different policies regarding sexual harrassment?

and what are the general steps that can be taken when someone is harrassed at work?

I think it's more of a state law more than anything else. I could be wrong though, and it could be different in the states. Contact your police office I guess.

At my old company, this girl was basically jerked around until she finally quit after making a sexual harassment complaint. The guy that harassed her never got in trouble or even spoken to about it. Another girl received satisfaction, but only because she got a lawyer involved. Had that not happened, I have feeling that she would have received the same treatment.
