Movie's created in the 50's can't really be compared to modern movies. And sure; they could be created without music, but music greatly enhances them. I can't imagine lord of the rings without a soundtrack. Epic battles would suddenly feel pathetic and boring.

Hal is so wrong, but will never admit it. He loves attention whoring and was so jealous I started a great thread, he had to parody it with a stupid one just to bring attention.

That's an absurd statement, some of the best films ever made were made in the 50's.

P.S. I hated Lord of the Rings (film)

That's you're opinion. Besides, my point was that modern film making is completely different from the films made in the 50's. I'm not saying today's are better, but they are different for sure and are designed with having a soundtrack to accompany them in mind.

OK...? What's your pont?

That we can always look back and say "that was the best time for XXX" but we don't live then... To bad because if we lived when we were kicking your guys asses I personally would have loved to battle you.

Ok, this is a bit over the line. Please refrain from such direct "imagery" in the future.

I agree that's obviously the case. But the point I'm making is that films can be made without music.

That is a straight lie...

Go up to a woman and say "hi I am unemployed, may i buy you a drink?"

and then watch her reaction...

First of all that would be a wholly stupid way to introduce yourself... I've had unemployed friends who have no problem getting laid just by being charming. Secondly I'm in a relationship. My employment doesn't have a bearing on my sex life. In other words, I can get laid off, and still get laid. 😀

Absolutely, I agree, but their impact would be greatly diminished. Maybe less so for someone like yourself; but have no doubt about the importance of music in modern film.

It is important, but it doesn't have to be, a film could be made without music, being just as good. (as has happened before)

and films can be made without sound in general... but now prey tell... would you enjoy a film made today with NO SOUND???

I don't think I would, but I enjoyed 12 Angry Men, and The Birds... So did a lot of people.

People also enjoyed Macbeth.

Anyway... This thread is getting quite off topic. I thought it was about music VS sex. LOL

well once you bring up the fact that Necktroll9000 has stated he does not enjoy music, and he is comparing something he likes vs. something he dislikes, HOPING to get into a debate... I'll fulfill that and keep owning him while he runs round and round trying to save face.

MikeMike has clearly proven your opinion as false, therefore making him the victor.

Good point. Perhaps I should award him the crown of superiority, and make him king.
