music is just specific sounds played in patterns and pitches, does that mean I would have to be deaf to not hear music? Or what would I hear when music comes on? And no music for everyone or just me, like music was never invented?

If I didn't know about music, then I would pick sex but I like music and having other people tell me how awesome it sounds but not being able to hear it would suck. But hearing music and not knowing how awesome sex feels would be lame.... I'd just kill myself if I had to chose.

It just means anything that you can listen to and say "that's music by definition" you wouldn't hear. You wouldn't be deaf, you'd hear people talking and sounds, but not music. Just for you.

Sex with no music would be very boring. I'm just not sure I can watch pornos without the heavy bass guitar riffs telling me when things are about to get interesting.

How the fuck else am I supposed to know that the pizza delivery guy is about to get the tip of his life from the two college co-eds that apparently forgot they didn't have any cash prior to ordering the pizza!?!?!
 
Sorry Hal, but your perspective is just skewed here. You just don't "get music" I guess. But for many of us music is a major emotional outlet, and inspiration in our lives. I can't vote in the poll. Honestly I need both, sex and music. Without them both life seems pointless to me. Ideally I will be experiencing both at the same time. 😀

I know it's a big emotional thing for some people. But more than sex!?!?!?!

Honestly... yes. Like I said I guess you just don't "get music" and therefore you can never understand or comprehend the emotional attachment people have with music. I would say they are about equal importance in my life. I couldn't live without either.

Also another thought; Music will be important to me at every stage of my life. Sex is only important to me in context of a relationship. If I we're not in a relationship sex wouldn't be important to me at all. Sure it's nice to be laid, but sex without a relationship has no emotional attachment. Music will have an emotional attachment no matter what.

This is a very good point and something I hadn't considered, given that I've been with my partner 8 years I hadn't considered music being more present than sex for most people. :hmm: Good point well made.

Wow that is some fragmented logic. I go to work 8 hours per day. I don't have nearly that much sex therefore I must love work much more than sex.

That's like saying "Go up to a woman and say "I post on an internet forum a lot, may I buy you a drink" then watch her reaction" just because you are unemployed or post on a forum doesn't mean women will find you repulsive. Just don't introduce yourself like that.

Movie's created in the 50's can't really be compared to modern movies. And sure; they could be created without music, but music greatly enhances them. I can't imagine lord of the rings without a soundtrack. Epic battles would suddenly feel pathetic and boring.
