Sex in the car...cops almost gave me a ticket, finally only took some cash

Last night was my birthday so I went out with my buddies and my girl to party in a chalet nearby Sofia (capital of Bulgaria ya know..). We were driving up in the mountain when we saw some desert parking area with the most exciting view over the whole city....and it was show time
Suddenly I heard a police siren so close it scared the hell out of me. There was this police car beside us and the cops asked me to leave the car for some kind of routine check. When they realised what was going on one of them called me for a little chat. He was like:
- it's illegal to....blah blah...you must pay....we can arrest you and your girlfirend...ah it's your birthday....ok we really don't want to f*ck up your day but....
And it was going like this forever until I gave them 100lv (about 50$) and they left kinda happy. Weird thing is he showed me a paragraph in a law book that says it's really illegal and they have the right to arrest you. Then you should pay some money going from 200$ to 500$. Pretty expensive to have sex

No point.. In some countries, bribery is more the rule than the exception. Sounds like these police officers probably check that spot on a regular basis for this kind of thing, and make extra cash on the side.

I hope they showed up "after the fact", and that they didn't ruin the fun

Actually they did ruin it
I can bust them on terms of bribary (yes, things in Bulgaria ARE changing fast) but I don't feel like walking to the police departement telling everybody about my "romantic experience"...
