Sex and marriage with robots? It could happen
Robots soon will become more human-like in appearance, researcher says

Humans could marry robots within the century. And consummate those vows.

"My forecast is that around 2050, the state of Massachusetts will be the first jurisdiction to legalize marriages with robots," artificial intelligence researcher David Levy at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands told LiveScience. Levy recently completed his Ph.D. work on the subject of human-robot relationships, covering many of the privileges and practices that generally come with marriage as well as outside of it.

At first, sex with robots might be considered geeky, "but once you have a story like 'I had sex with a robot, and it was great!' appear someplace like Cosmo magazine, I'd expect many people to jump on the bandwagon," Levy said.

Yeah, I heard this on Air America a few days ago. Truly a sign of the times, and I think the radio personality equated it with "men would have sex with a tree, if the thought no one was watching". As for the sanctity of marriage, that is a whole 'nother can of worms.

Marriage is a bit of a stretch. But considering that some people get their jollies off using battery operated "toys," mass acceptance of "sex with robots" is not that far-fetched. Just not by 2050.

I don't have to buy it dinner, I don't have to worry about getting it pregnant, and I don't have to convince it to try anal--of course I'll have sex with a robot.

Assuming we develop true AI and a system that fully simulates and/or improves upon every process (including child birth) of the human body (read: we make a true artificial human). Then hell yeah.

Until then, No.

I dont wanna marry a real girl, why the fizzuck would I want to marry a robot?
ITS A ROBOT YOU ASSHOLE, you already own the bitch!
You dont need to swear before god and family your eternal devotion. You can do whatever the hell you want and she wont complain and wont sue for alimony or child support.

Having said all that, I would certainly keep a domestic model around for household chores. I despise the notion of giving illegal immigrants a reason to stay, but I am also a lazy spoiled white American and would welcome the chance to avoid cleaning.
It wont likely be in my lifetime that we have "Cherry 2000" style dolls with warm, fleshy parts.
But if we do I suppose I would get a sex model for the bedroom.


EDIT:
I just checked realdoll.com and they are currently working on animitronic dolls. I guess maybe it wont be too long.
