Ah... lilac. Probably the strongest memory trigger for me is the smell of lilac. I get homesick every time I smell 'em. It was my favorite time of year when they were in bloom.

Just in time for the rainy season too, which always begins around Halloween.

Well we can only hope that the mountains will get close to as much snow as it did last year. Got my board and gear ready to rock and roll. Last year kicked arse.

nah, keep yer mancard. We missed them so much, that I planted a nice row of them. Come March, (instead of May in Spokane) we have tons of them.

 
ive lived in California for a little over 2 months now

ive only seen it sprinkle once for a few mins in that time

im used to virginia where it rains more than seattle

i like rain

im surprised theres no water restrictions in southern california

AlhamBRA, L.B. & L.A. will do just fine. 😀 The burn areas up on the Ridge Route will not do well.

When's the last time SoCal had a real flash flood problem? I once lived there for over a decade and the most I've ever seen was maybe a couple of inches.
 
I can barely remember the last two winters here in nocal. I think it was cold for about a week and rained once in the middle. I hate the rain but I kinda miss the cold breaking up summers 🙁 Must be teh global warming.

True, flash floods don't happen often but when they do..........
 
It's not so much the rain, but the fact that any precipitation makes Southern Californians completely forget how to drive :Q
