Several problems with my computer

I have several minor problems or quirks that I would like help with on my computer. Just so you know, I dual-boot 98 and 2k.

1. What A7V BIOS version should I use? Currently I am on 1004A. I can go to 1004C or back down to 1003.
2. I installed the service pack (patch?) for Win2k, and since then neither my Internet nor Network work. I would use Win2k much more if I could resolve this issue.
3. When I am using a lot of system resources, such as when I have a lot of IE windows open, I get this strange error from the PC Probe (I forget the exact wording) which says something about the Canvas. The problem is that the error dialog boxes pop up continuously and stagger.
4. My ATI TV-Wonder TV card outputs through CD-Audio on my computer. A really annoying thing is that even when the TV is not open, if I turn the volume up even just halfway I can hear the TV audio faintly. Also, occasionally, the TV audio starts up as early as the first few seconds that Win98 has loaded up (at that time when only the background has been loaded).

If you can even answer one of these, that would be great! Thanks guys.

4/8 Problems Solved, Good Job Guys!
1. When choosing which OS to load, the menu has Win2k first, and I would like to put Win98 first if possible.
2. In certain cases, my system hangs at Win98 startup. Can this be attributed to either setting my RAM at 133 MHz (even though it is rated at that) or that I am overclocking from 650 to 850 MHz?
3. In my Win98 Device Manager, the Win95-98 Promise Ultra100 (tm) IDE Controller (PDC20265) has a status problem: "Windows stopped responding while attempting to start this device, and therefore will never attempt to start this device again.". I'm not sure if I need this or not but what will fix it? The solution Win98 offers is for me to upgrade the drivers.
4. ASUS PC Probe is currently reporting the CPU Temperature to be 51 C and the MB Temperature to be 33 C. I run SETI@Home on full-time. Are these values too high?

1. go to Control Panel/System Properties/Advanced/Startup and Recovery/System Startup: Default OS

3. try put your system back to 650 and still see if it is stable

4. Grab the latest drivers for your ATA Controller. Do youhave enough free IRQ resources? You may want to disable serial ports in the BIOS if you don't use them....that will free up 1 or 2 IRQs.

5. If you have a firewall program such as Zone Alarm, you either need to set your Internet Options Security to Medium, or upgrade/patch to the latest version of your firewall software.

6. Grab the latest version of PC Probe here. It may help to resolve your problems there.

AndyHui - Thanks, my CPU temperature is now 49C and my MB temperature is now 31C. I also disabled my serial ports because I don't use them and I was able to install the Ultra100 drivers.
