Several Positions Open At My Old Employer

QED

There are two openings for pretty nice positions at my old employer in Cleveland, a software application provider for the cable & satellite industry.

They are looking for a systems analyst and a business analyst.

For the systems analyst position, they are looking for someone with Redhat Linux experience to help support their 150+ client site installations. You don't have to be a hardcore admin, but familiarity with scripting, basic troubleshooting, and network management is essential. Familiarity with Java, Tomcat, Apache, XML, Oracle, or Data Warehousing are all big plusses but not required.

For the business analyst position, they are looking for someone with data warehousing/reporting experience, preferably in a Cognos or Oracle datamart environment.

I personally know the internal recruiter for these postions, so if you are at interested I can make sure your resume is on the top of the stack.

This is a great company to work for-- very casual dress policy, good management, and a nice suburban location.

PM with any questions or interest...

Update:

I just found out they actually several more openings as well. Additional jobs they are looking to fill:

Oracle DBA
Report Writer -- report writing exp, preferabbly with Cognos
Director, Product Development
Software Automation Engineer -- exp with testing environments, Perl, PHP, scripting is required
Software Engineer -- exp with Java, Apache Tomcat, Oracle SQL-Plus, Unix

They are on the eastside, near 422 and I-480.

Damn, that's right near me. Too bad I have absolutely no idea how to do any of that stuff. Hmm, I'll pass this on to my uncle who is fairly familiar with linux.

right near 422/480 would be Miles road, or right about there. so your talkin a decent area, not a horrible location or anything.

Anyways, I see where you're at now-- you're about 15 minutes away from what I see.
