And since I'm here anyway here's an update on the Qualifying Race after just 4 hours:
For those over 1T the stats I pull from the Seventeen or Bust site are rounded to the nearest 10G which is why Confused shows 0 so far. Hopefully 2 days of stats will be enough to minimize these rounding errors.

Thanks guys 🙂 Got all my crunchers back in working order and got my main rig cooled down to 40C full load from ~51-52C full load with my nice new SLK800 and YS Tech variable speed fan 😀

I have a feeling that if the service install from Confused works the way I hope it will then my qualifying total will be wwwwaaaayyyyy off. Sorry.

That does bring up a question again about whether there should be any limits to the variance allowed between the Qualifying Race and the Main Race starting Thursday.

I could see value in a simple rule such as, "if you double your qualifying average rate over the duration of the main race you are disqualified." However, I would hate to discourage assimilations so I have thus far said there would be no penalities for adding power during the race.

Should there be limits? The worst thing that could happen without limits is that someone would take 1st in just a few days. Would this make anyone upset? Comments anyone?
 
I think we will have to play it by ear... Lets see how the numbers come out and then see what a few day averages are and go from there.
 
I should be assimilating a 2000+, a 1700+, and a duron 750 sometime in the near future.

I for one don't have a problem at all with people assimilating during the race.
