(Just wanted to sound like a Nigerian scammer)
I got a bunch of goodies as Xmas gifts and need your advice for the optimal setup.
Just as I was getting sick of playing videos on my TV by copying them on to a USB stick, la familia surprised me with an XBOX One and WDMyCloud.
What would be the optimal setup to run on a Windows Desktop PC (primary file storage with a 2 TB drive), an XBOX One, a 3 TB WDMyCLoud, a Chromecast, an ASUS Chrome Box and two laptops with Linux and Mac OS on them?
Normally I would just install Plex on both the PC and ChromeBox but I don't want to keep the PC running 24/7. Is there a way to do it two ways so that I can use Plex to get the videos from MyCloud when the PC is on but use the Chromebox to access the MyCloud when the PC is not on? According to MyCloud documentation, it needs to be connected to the router and I haven't been able to get access to it through the Chromebox.
Anyways, what's your idea of an optimal solution?
