OK folks, I ran into a couple of setup "opportunities" during the first boot of this board and wanted to ask what others are doing. First off, there are a couple of settings in the Advanced section of the BIOS that aren't listed in the manual (Surprise!). One is SDR/DDR RAS Active Time (mine is set to 6T), and another is SDR/DDR RAS Precharge Time (mine is set to 3T). Any ideas on what these are and what they should be set at? There were also some BIOS settings I was not clear on and the manual was no help. The first was System BIOS Cacheable--Yes/enabled or No/disabled. Which should it be and why. The next was Timing Setting Mode. I don't remember the options, but they recommended leaving it alone so I did.
Also, has anyone figured out what the "Load Best Performance Settings" does? And last but not least: I am building this with a 1 GB/266 Athlon (hey, it's for my dad!) and I set the CPU frequency to 133/133. Is that correct?
Ok, enough brain-dead questions it is getting late (or is that early?). I'll sleep on it and see what I come up with while waiting for some ideas/explanations/general help from you folks. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
