Hi folks thanks for read this post.

I am currently using dd2 667 with a e6600

And my system is over clocked to: fsb 326 mhz memory 815 mhz

I can understand how the cpu can handle the over clock, bow does the ddr2 667 mhz memory cope with the extra mhz?

Also I have just bought this Patriot 2GB Kit PC6400 800MHz 4-4-4-12 very cheap, what settings should I use.

Though I understand some of you think ddr 800mhz is a waste of money when used with a e6600?

Also could some one please explain what is meant by 1:1 ?

1. 1:1 matches speed of your ram to the speed of your FSB. At your current settings, your ram is running at 326mhz.

2. What ram exactly do you have? Title says DDR-800, body says DDR2-667. If you've got the 667, its rated speed is 333mhz. So you're currently underclocking your ram, don't worry about it.

3. Download CPU-Z and take a look at the Memory and SPD tabs, it'll make things much more clear for you as far as what your system is doing.

4. Read this and this

Have fun!

Ah, ok. Your memory divider it...what is that... 5:4 instead of 1:1 (and your ram is actually running at about 407mhz - double data rate).

If you want to, you can change the ram to 1:1 while lowering the timings on it. You may get faster performance that way.
