There never was any "win-win" for the palestinians. Sorry to shatter illusions, but true.
I'm pretty sure that if an agreement was struck today to accept the borders drawn up in 1948 that nearly everyone would now consider it a win-win for the Palestinians. They had that chance in 1948 and blew it through acts of aggression instead.

Over the years, Israel has killed more than 10x the number of palestinians than the other way around. I wouldn't say Israel has "ignored" any aggression whatsoever - quite the opposite, as they themselves stand for the (vast) majority of it...
How often has Israel been the agressor instead of responding to aggression? Of course Israel is going to do more damage and cause more casualties as they are far more powerfull. Even so, Palestinians, percentage-wise, kill more Israeli civilians than Israelis kill Pal civilians.

btw, looking at the Palestinian fatalities between 1987 and 2010, nearly 20% of the Palestinian deaths were caused by the Palestinians themselves. Not only can they not get along with Israel, they can't even get along with themselves.

There's nobody with clean hands in this conflict, but Israel has not exactly gone out of its way to try and quench the flames. Usually quite the opposite in fact, deliberately violating human rights, firing on civilians, destroying property and so on just to incite the palestinians further.
It seems to me that nearly every time Israel does something it's a response to an act of aggression by the Palestinians or because Arab armies are attempting to invade. If Israel had gunned down 4 Gazan civilians in cold blood you can bet there would have been an immediate retaliatory response from Hamas. Where is Israel's latest response to the recent tragedy?

Neither side has shown much restraint in this conflict but Israel seems to more restraint, fwiw.
