There's some site out there that has all kinds of those questions and shows who says what. Lots of terms that vary from place to place. Was very interesting to read.

I thought what was going to be settled was whether Mosh approved of big, fake boobies or not.:brokenheart:

Pop? Why "pop?"

SODA doesn't make a popping sound at any time.

And Pepsi should be marketing itself more in the south; can't ask for a Coke when there's Pepsi around, if that's your thing.

I grew up in east Pennsylvania, where "soda" was the dominant term. I now live on the west side, where "pop" is the popular term. I don't drink it much anymore, so I rarely need to use either term anyway.

How can you call a Sprite "coke?"
I still think the best name is "soda" (from California)

If by settled you mean this is evidence that we will never be able to agree on a uniform way of calling soda SODA... then yes, it's settled.

Aerated Soft Drink FTMFW.
Or maybe go with, "Oh cool, a (carbonated) beverage!" /the dude

Why would anyone call it pop? Pop sounds plain wrong.

But tonic is unflavored soda, so you're just as bad as the Southerners who call it Coke!
