Settle a dispute: How do you pronounce Nike?

Ok, I know I am right, but I am hoping to find some sort of official confirmation.

I say it is Nik-E, with the e pronounced. A couple people I know are convinced it is Nike(like bike).

Who is right? The only time i can remember hearing it pronounced BY nike in a commercial is in the movie Rainman. (air alpha force!)

With Nik-E practically in my backyard, I can definitely say that you are correct.
