Settings to improve cable modem speed

Well, I'm using a cable modem, and although I get really good gaming pings, webpages tend to load sluggishly. I've seen that there are some registry settings to help with that, but I can't remember where I saw that. Does anyone know what and where they are?

You should find what you need here. I have the best luck and performance using these. Also, you know exactly what the hack did to your registry since you did it.

i've gone to the site PCPilgrim said for my @home connection. i don't play games so optimum speed isn't a big issue, but i tried out a patch and went from ~500K to over 800k. too bad i no longer have broadband, except when i'm at work.
