Hi!

Last week I received this "little" baby.. I liked it a lot but the colors disappointed me - until today when I noticed there was this color menu ;) I changed from <Normal Preset> to <User Preset>, and that made a huge difference.

My current settings:
1600*1200 @ 60Hz, DVI, Color Management in Win I use the profile located on the CD
Brightness 70, Contrast is automatically adjusted to 50 due to DVI interface

Colors:
<User Preset>
Red: 45
Green: 50
Blue: 48

So my question is, which settings do you use, and if there is some good tip for this monitor?

Thanks

Hi there!

I got this monitor a couple of weeks back and was wondering if any one else had some blurring issue in game.

I seem to have that issue in CS but lately when i played it again, that wasnt happening.

I am not really sure whats going on with that.

Also dont u find surfing the web a pain at 1600x1200. All the text is soon small that i really have to strain my eyes to read!

Mine is at the default settings and I am happy with it. The colors seem in line with my Sony CRT.

Akaz, try incresaing the font size to 120dpi instead of 96, and enable cleartype.

Go to "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Font size". Change it from 96dpi to the 120dpi option. This will make the text a little bigger.

I'm not on XP right now, but under "Effects" is a "Clear Type" checkbox. It makes text alot sharper and smoother on lcd's. If you can't find it I can give you the exact steps when I get home from work in a couple of hours.

For Cleartype:

Right click desktop, click properties.
Appearance tab
Click Effects in the bottom right corner
Check the 2nd box and make sure Cleartype is selected from the drop-down menu.
Hit Ok twice. :)

I've got a Samsung 191T Plus, and don't like Cleartype. Not sure if it's just a preference thing, or if it dosen't look that great on this particular monitor. The "standard" anti-aliasing looks nice, while ClearType looks a little blurry, and you can see some individual colors kind of bleeding together to form the text (which I guess is what ClearType is doing).

Okay thanks all for the help.

Now a weird thing has happened with increasing the DPI. On this forum the text within the post is still small. As is the name (eg. Akaz1976) and status of the member (eg. Platinum Member). But the text displaying number of posts and join date is HUGE!

Any ideas how i can fix this?

I'm not sure really. Most text seems to get bigger, but some stays small. Not sure how to make it perfect.
