Settings on BF6

I just installed a new Abit BF6 and need some advise on setting a speed settings of I think the L2 cache. Rest of the system is a PIII 850 FCPGA and 256mb of Micron CL2 PC133. There is a setting in the soft menu III where I can set a timing parameter from 1 to 15 but there is a caution note in the manual that if I set the number too high the L2 cache will fail and the processor will run much slower. Anybody have any advise on this setting?
