That list fucking blows by the way. Definitely hard stuff on there, but the order is whacked out. Like, pitching two no-hitters in a row, which has only been done once ever is harder then hitting .400.
I disagree vehemently.
As rare and as difficult a feat as it is, some hot pitcher will luck into a perfect storm of circumstance and toss two no-hitters in a row LONG BEFORE anyone will ever bat .400, which in fact no MLB batter will most likely ever achieve again.
No, a pitcher wont luck into it, because it's only happened once.
You FAIL at both logic and knowlege of baseball. AGAIN, it is FAR MORE likely that this
two start long "perfect storm" will happen again than that anyone will ever hit .400 OVER AN ENTIRE 162 GAME SEASON again.
Anyone who knows baseball understands how true this is.
I don't even know why you're getting bent out of shape on something that can't really be compared but I think that the back to back no-hitters are the less likely feat.
It's not uncommon for a great player to have a series where they go well over .500, and there are players that sit above .400 for a month span... I don't see why a hot streak can't last for a season.
However, even some the best pitchers don't have a no-hitter under their belt, let alone two (maybe two dozen or so have [at least] two?)... dare I say that only 4 pitchers have ever had two no-hitters in the same SEASON.
Like I said, it's apples and oranges, but more players have hit over .400 in a season than have pitched back to back no-hitters, right?
