Hi guys. I know I'm a total noob here, but i've lurked for awhile. Anyway, here's my issue. I'm trying to set up a wireless network in my apartment. The basic set up is (living room) cable modem-netgear wireless router-PC. Then in the bedroom, i'd like to set up a 2nd PC for web surfing, and serving as a bridge for my X-box. Is this going to be possible? I've tried it before, and failed miserably. Is there any way to go about this? I'll be using Knoppix on the bedroom PC, as it has no Hard Drive. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Normally these would be your option.

Link to: Wirelessly Bridging Home / SOHO Network.

Your way of using a PC as a bridge means double NAT and two Networks, add to it two unorthodox devices like Box game and Knopix and your chances are really slim.

This may not be terribly helpful but I read in another forum that you can bridge a wireless network with a pc simply by using internet connection sharing and plugging the xbox or ps2 into the ethernet card of the pc. I don't recall the details or if there is a linux or knoppix version of internet connection sharing.
