Setting up win98 network help

I am clueless to the procedures for setting up a networked system, and am having difficulties.
I am running two machines that are operating on win98 (not SE). Is there a web site that guides
one through the process of networking these two systems together?

Both machines have a D-link DFE-530TX+ NIC, and I am operating them through a D-Link DI-704P router.
I have my cable modem hooked into the router, and it is worrking. I can not access the printer through the
router, nor can the second machine access the cable modem or printer. There are no systems listed under
the network neighborhood icon- it only lists an icon called Entire Network, and when you click on this, it
states that it is unable to access the network; ie I don't have something set up right.

Any links or help is greatly appreciated!!!

The general File and Print Sharing has to be installed:
1. dbl clk on "my computer"
2. clk "control panel" icon
3. clk "network" icon
4. clk "add" tab
5. clk "add" tab w/ the "file and printer sharing service highlighted
6. have your 98 OS disk in cdrom and clk "have disk" or select ok...the dialogs should lead you the rest of the way...and of course the famous "restart your computer" 🙂
