Hello, I have a book PC (BKI810) that i'm trying to integrate into a home theater. The computer has onboard everything and no pci or agp or isa. It has three video outs, one for computer monitor, one thats an RCA video and the last is an S-video.

Last i was using it with a monitor with a setting of 1024x 760 with a refresh of 75hz.

I hooked it up to the tv via rca jack and it boots. I'll see the memory check, the windows screen but when it tries to display my desktop, i just garbage.

I put it back on the monitor and set the res for 640x480, 256 color and 60 hz. I reboot to get it on the tv and nothing changes i get clear images for the mem count and the windows startup but garbage for the desktop.

I repeated the process stepping up the refresh rate but no progress.

Any ideaas?? Please!!!

what do you mean by garbage? Blurry lines and no definable image or an image that is blurred?

This may seem a bit obvious, but have you checked the display properties to make sure that TV out is applied and working? Is your TV on the correct channel to display tv out? I know my TV had to be on Ch 3 and when I went to Ch 4 I got a blurry image.

i get blurry lines and no definable image. I set my TV for video mode so it uses the RCA jacks instread of the coax one.

The odd problem is that i'll get a viewable image of the memory count screen when i first power on my system, and i'll get the win2k splashscreen while windows is loading, but when it gets past it and tries to display my desktop, i get lines and no image.
