I am about to buy the X2 4200+ and Epox Nf4 Ultra. do i need to flash the bios ? Or download any additional drivers ? Also, is the mobo a good choice ?

thanks

I built a similar system for my brother, same mobo and chip. I got them both when the X2s had just come out, so I did need to flash the BIOS. You may not have to, since it might ship with a later revision. He's been pretty happy with both, the EPoX seems like a good board according to the roundup here on AT, I would check some threads here

Should work fine,I had no problems with my 3800+ x2 cpu in my Epox board,I believe the BIOS from June supports dual core CPU so you will very likely have a much later date BIOS so will be no problem.

As to drivers I recommend you download the AMD dual core driver, this stops stuttering in gaming with some older games.
