Setting up SCSI Terminators

Ok, I have a tekram DC-390U3D SCSI Card and an Atlas III 20GB LVD Hard drive that I am trying to setup. My question is on the placement of the terminators. If anyone could give me some pointers as to where to put them, that would be great...right now, it detects the drive, but it took forever to format it, and is locking up during the win2k install...

Thanks,

Okay lets play a little picture game with ascii...

Say this is your cable...

||========||===||===||=||

Now lets number the devices

1--------------2----3------4--5
||========||===||===||=||

Plug device 1 into your SCSI card.
Plug your hdd into device 4.
Device 5 is more than likely backwards from the rest(at least with U160 cables) This is where you plug in your Terminator.

Device 2 & 3 should be left empty. You'll have extra slack that you can bend up and tie wrap out of the way.

😉

Hmm...thats what I did...I guess its some other problem besides how I have the terminators set up.

Thanks.
