Setting up RAID 0 - need advice

I have an MSI 845 Ultra ARU Motherboard. I want to set up two 200GB in RAID 0 but the motherboard will not recognize the full 200GB on a regular IDE slot. I have to install a Promise ATA Card to get the 200GB to recognize at the full size. If I try to go RAID on the RAID slots provided, will I have the same issue? Can I RAID 0 two 200GB drives on this motherboard?
