Setting up my ic7-g have some ?'s.

I have a couple of ?'s on this board. What does the ram ratio's mean 5/4 3/2 etc, what does that set the mhz on the ram to? Also I have 2 hard drives that I am going to run in raid 0. Should I use the intel southbridge chip or the silcon image chip for raid zero?

use the southbridge, it'll unburden your pci bus. I coudlnt tell you on the N/B straps. I'm still trying to figure them out myself... thats the only reason I havent whooped 18k out of the sky in 3dmark01 :beer:

THe NIC on my IC7-G is giving 10% packet loss and is basically unusable... I've installed the drivers... are there any settings I should know about?

the N/B Strap is the FSB:RAM divider, if you have a "C" Processor you want to use the 5:4 or 3:2 dividers depending on your memory and how far you wanna go on the FSB. With the 5:4 and 3:2 divider, it runs the memory asynch from the FSB and the memory speed will be lower than the FSB. For example, at 260FSB you use the 5:4 divider which gives you 208 on the memory, 260/5 *4 = 208
