I have Linksys befw11s4 router with a 15dbi omnidirectional antenna attached to it. I've read about how people are able to get really great distances and signal strenth from this setup but I can't seem to get it to work. I want to eventually share internet out to my neighbors. Right now I have it indoors and I can't really see that much of a difference from using the regular stock antenna that came in the box. I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong. My next thought is to mount it to my roof but I'm afraid I might break my neck trying to install it.
