Setting up home network first time.

I setup my first home network using windows nt server and windows workstation.I can share files and printers, and when I ping both machines respond. I think the problem is with the DNS or DHPC.
I looked in FAQ but I did not find a soluton to my problem. Just point me right direction.

HAVE YOU TRIED SEARCHING THE FORUMS? OR LOOKED IN THE OFFICICAL ANANDTECH FAQ? its all be gone over about a hundred times. if after that, you're still having trouble, come back with specific q's. good luck!
