Ok this is my second post and I'm still a noob, so please be nice when replying to the post. hehe

I have a Netgear RP114 router in my room with 4 PC's setup throughout the network within my house. I can connect to the net with all 4 PC's and I can also file share without any problemsa t all.

Today I installed SAMBAR and set everything up properly. I currently have Verizon DSL and as everyone knows, its PPoE software.
I created a few accounts within my wwwroot directory and installed SERVU. I created test accounts and have tried to connect throught the ftp and had others as well, I have not been sucessfull at all.
I checked my router setting for PORT fowarding and everything looks good.

The Pc that is running SAMBAR is labeled as 192.168.0.2 I fowarded everything for that (port 21) and I still cant get anyone to connect. This is currently the last thing that is holding me back from setting this up for me to host pics for friends.

Any help on this matter would be HIGHLY appriciated.

Thank you in advance,

Joe

Well...hmm....it should work from what you described so long as ServU has been configured for port 21 (usually the default anyway). Have you ever used ServU before? The reason I ask is because I ran into some issues with some of the later versions of it and had higher success with the original versions that came out. Maybe swap software and try an older version? You should be able to test your own system from your webbrowser by typing either your NetBeui name or ip address. One more thing...if you're on one side of your router, you probably won't be able to test your connection from the inside since you'll be trying to send to the port your actually sending the send request from. (don't ask). I would maybe get a friend to click on an ftp link and have them test if for you from the outside ( ftp://user:pass@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ). This proves to be helpful cause you can ask a moron if they see files on the screen or get a "server not found error". Good luck!
