I hope this is the right forum.

Anyway I am totally new to Severs, SCSI and anything server related - please pardon my lack of technical knowledge. I just got a used Dell Poweredge 2300 to learn the basics on.

Anyway I am trying to install Windows Server on this Dell and during the windows installiation it says I have no drives loaded.

I have a 1 x 6 hot-plug SCSI backpane board but only 4 drive installed. Do I need to get 2 more Hard Drives for the other 4 to work or shoudl it work with the 2 empty SCSI slots?

Do I need to get the drivers for the Abtec SCSI 1 x 6 backpane so the windows install will notice the drives?

Windows asks you if you want to install any third party drivers during the beginning of the setup run. Been awhile since I've had to use it but it seems like it's "press F6" to get to the drivers load page when prompted.
