Hi,

Is there any way i can setup a connection to a PC located remotely and transfer files and stuff? I tried ftp but wasnt able to get it to work... is there any other way?

Arguably, the most common error when trying to create an FTP server is with firewalls. First, you'll need to create permissions on the server machine to allow access to the specific port (standard is 21, IIRC). Secondly, you'll need to make sure whatever hardware firewalls (i.e. routers) you have corrrectly advance requests they receive at that port to the ftp server inside of their network.
