Setting up a 'What it's worth' forum

they have one of these forums over at pcper.com and it seems like a good idea, since we are not allowed to post in forsale/trade forum unless items are priced. for some people, probably many people (myself included), have hard time pricing what their gear is worth, esp if it is older, or recently changed in value. there are so many knowledgeable people who populate anandtech and their contribution to a forum such as this would be invaluable.

case in point: i have some items i would like to place for sale but it is hard for me to find accurate prices that i should be asking.

just a suggestion and probably one you have heard before, but it would be a great idea..esp for those of us who dont do much selling and dont keep up with current market value or upgrade our pc's very often.

i prefer to buy/sell on the forums over going to ebay where i have never done business.

maybe you have tried this before and it didnt work, but if not it might be something to consider. at the bare minimum i think there should be a controlled, moderated poll to see where all the anandtech users can voice their opinions. i think most people would be in favor of it.

just a thought, peace

Do the proper research and you'll know what your item is worth. There is no need to have everyone tell you.

Plus, simple economics tells you if you set a price and the item doesn't sell, the price is too high.
