Hey everyone. Trouble. =(

I wanna set up a webserver. I went into my LinkSys router setup, set port 80~80 to point to this comp's IP on the network, and disabled "Block WAN Request:" in the filter setup.

Now, I can see the index, but no one else can. So basically, no one outside the LAN can see the htdocs folder.

Any ideas?

What errors do others viewing the page get? Are they getting an error from the webserver or because they cannot reach the webserver?

What os/webserver?

Ok, I've worked the problem down to this. To enable port forwarding, I need to disable DHCP. But then, I'm not too sure on how to give comp's static IPs. It's in Network Settings / TCP/IP, isn't it? But it doesn't have net access when I do that... I dunno. =\

I'm kinda new to networking, and especially when I have to configure the internet/ports and stuff.

For statics be sure to set the ip address, netmask, name servers, and gateway. I suspect you haven't set a gateway.
