Setting Up a Shared Photo Website

Recently came back from a trip to India in which a buddy got married. There was a group of maybe 20 Americans over there and we all had our separate cameras capturing memories. I wanted to set up some sort of interface in which each person can upload all of their pictures so that all our pictures will be available to be viewed by everyone in the group on the web. I don't want to use services like Snapfish or Ofoto since they resize the images too small and because some of us took video as well that needs to be shared.

I am asking if you guys know how easy it is to set some kind of interface up that either I could host on my machine or if some service like this is already available that I could get involved in and then I could send instructions for uploading out to the group.

This is something I am will to pay for and would greatly appreciate assistance.

Why not get a domain then get a webhost and install coppermine or gallery?

dude, it is really easy, you don't need to pay someone other than domain/hosting

just get a domain and web hosting account (devioustrap/telnap does this, he is a AT guy) and get onto the control panel . it is really a 5 click process to setup a photo gallery that all your friends/family can get accounts on and post/view pictures

Here's my walkthrough...
1. Go to Yahoo or Godaddy and register your domain
2. PM Rossman or search Hot Deals for a good webhosting service (maybe one that will automatically install coppermine or gallery for you)
3. Go back to Yahoo or Godaddy and set your DNS servers
4. Go to control panel through your webhosting service (their email should be self-explanatory) and click install for coppermine or gallery
5. Set up users
6. Tell users go to www.yourwebsite.com and login and start upload
7. Where's my money!?!

I Actually already have a domain through DeviusTrap and am in my cpanel now so this may be much easier than i had expected.

Which of these should I install to use? 4Images? Coppermine? Gallery?
