Setting up a SetQ at work

Hello all I am having a bit of an issue setting this up at work. I have my computer now on a static IP. I have setiq running. I have set the queue server IP address. But when I try to get a computer to connect, it just sits and does not download the WU's. I am using setihide for this. Setihide is all set up the same also.

I have tried making the setiqueue directory shared and it still did not work. Any ides? Do you need more info? Thanks in advance.

Are you adding the port number to the IP address? Do you have some sort of firewall that could be blocking access to the port SETI Q uses (5517 by default)?

Yes, on setihide I am saying yes to proxy server, then under proxy name I am putting my ip address then I am putting 5517 under port. I am not sure if we have a firewall blocking internal traffic though. Would a firewall matter if it the clients arent accessing the internet? These are all inside the company. Thanks again.

For SetiQ to start downloading WUs, a completed WU must be sent into the queue.

It could be that SetiQ cannot get out onto the internet as well, can you Ping the Seti Server (under the File menu on SQ)?

Another thing is, can you see the SetiQ HTTP page from the client computers where Seti is runnin? If not, then Seti won't be able to connect to the queue.

are the computers you are loading it on and the setiqueue system all on the same subnet?

I had this exact problem when they weren't on the same subnet, and had to change the setting under queue server from a class c to a class b subnet to allow it to pull everything.
