Setting up a RAID 1.

Is it a good idea to use the same make and model of disk when setting up a RAID or does it not matter? Already got a 500gb Samsung HD501LJ and debating what to pair it with.

Some people are paranoid that they might get two from the same batch and have a better chance of both dying at the same time but I don't really think it matters.
