setting up a cisco 1700 with ATT T1

hey,

i'm setting up a cisco 1700 router with a t1 bic in it and i was wondering if you guys had any tips for setting it up on ATT. It will be a bonded t1 install, 3mbs i think, not sure. This was just kind of passed on to me since i have experience. So far i've managed to scrounge up a router with a bellsouth config on it and get rid of the password. I've got the old config and i'm diggin through it trying to figure out how its done. I've never configured a T1 before, so any tips/links would be appreciated. Thanks!

You'll have to find out exactly how the service is provisioned/set up in order to proceed. Call the carrier or your account rep.

ATT normally uses multilink PPP (MLPPP) for such a service, but can't guarantee that's what you have. You'll also have to find out the physical parameters of the T1 like clocking, framing, encoding, etc to configure your CSUs.

Is this a point to point link or some kind of other service (frame relay, Internet, mpls, etc).
