Setting UDMA in Windows 2000: Maxtor DiamondMax 30Gb HD, ASUS P3V4X mobo

I have a big problem, I am using Win2k and I can't seem to set my DiamondMax 30Gb HD to UDMA, it is set to the PIO mode at the moment. As a result when there is any hard disk activity there is a lot of cpu utilization. I don't know why win2k isn't automatically selecting it as a DMA device, my mobo is an ASUS P3V4X. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you find a solution at your problem UDMA/W2000.
