setting the default text size in IE 5.5

Whenever i open IR 5.5, the text size defaults to "smaller" under View->Text Size->Smaller. On my 19" monitor running 1280x1024, the text is too small. I tried changing it to "larger," but once I close IE and reopen it, it defaults back to "smaller." How do I chage the default to "larger?"

I had this problem and took me months to configure this...this is the way I solved the problem.... go to IE properties and uncheck the check for the default browser.. I did that and had no problem after that...
