setting screensaver under Debian

First of all what desktop environment are you using? What session manager are you using?

(For the record I'm not sure if this is even possible).
 

hmph. i dont have gdm or xdm installed, so i can't find anything. i'd poke through that directory though, possibly in app-defaults look for a file named gdm (or xdm as the case may be)

also try man gdm
