Setting my monitor Contrast...

I have a Sony CPD-G410 19" Monitor, what is the rule of thumb for setting contrast. What should I be paying attention to cause it doesnt seem to change when I play with the settings.

Thanks,

FreAk😀

Contrast is a misleading term. A better name for it would be white level. It determines how bright the whitest portions of the screen will be.
Brightness, another misnomer, determine the black level...how dark the darkest portions of the sreen will be.
