Setting multiple connection defaults on router

If i run two programs that use the internet at once my connection would cut off one of them. Like having AIM on while playing Souce. Or trying to do anything that require more than one connection it would cut the second one off. Is there a way to configure my DL-524 router to let it have unlimited connections per program no matter what it was doing?
