Setting AGP speed question

Okay, I have overclocked Sapphire X800 Pro to X800 XT platinum. I set the AGP speed to 8X but after restarting, it's back to off. Is it because my computer is not powerful enough or is my card smoking?? My cpu is Barton 2500+ overclocked to 3200+.

Any thoughts?

Try going into your BIOS at startup and checking the AGP setting (I'm assuming you have not done that yet). I don't know under which heading it will be listed, but go in, then set it to 8X and see if that takes care of it, or to Auto. Make sure and choose Save Changed and Exit instead of just Exit.

Hope this helps.
