Setting AGP speed for KT7/Viper II... Help!

Both Sandra and WCPUID report that my agp is set to 1X.
Here is what I've tried:
1) In bios disable 4X
Leave jumpers on Viper open (no 4X)
2) Enable 4X in bios
Put jumpers in place (4X enabled on board)

Should I try changing the registry???

Don't bother; you won't see any signifigant preformnce boost from even getting it up to 2x, let alone 4x.

I know there is negligible difference between 4x and 2x, but I didn't know there
was none between 1x and 2x.

At 1x, my 3dMark is 3432...

Try re-installing the VIA 4in1 drivers and select Turbo mode for the AGP drivers. That should set AGP 2x without the Viper2 jumpers and hopefully 4x with the jumpers. I haven't even tried 4x with my Viper2 simply because I'm too lazy to remove the vidcard just to set the jumpers.
