Setting a Linux option in the Boot.ini... can it be done?

My goal here is to not have anything to do with LILO. So can I set an option in the boot.ini file to boot into Linux? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

Use Grub. It's much better than lilo. I don't think you can boot from the Windows boot
manager, but I'm not sure. I don't see why you'd want to.

Yes you can boot linux off of the NT boot loader. There is good information that suorangeman posted awhile back. This gives a good overall of the setup.

One thing he doesn't have in that thread is instead of typing out that command in linux. BootPart from www.winimage.com will make the required boot strap for you.
